JOI '14 problems added

posted on Feb. 20, 2015, 10:38 p.m. 0

The JOI (Japanese Olympiad of Informatics) Open Contest 2014 problems have been added to the DMOJ.

https://dmoj.ca/problems/?category=23

Many of them use signature grading, unlike most of the DMOJ problemset.

JOI '14 problem 4, Migration, was an output-only task that was judged against other contestant submissions. Since the DMOJ doesn't have the required infrastructure (and it's not worth adding it for one problem), Migration has not been added.

Submission statistics

Like charts? Statistics? Charts and statistics? We do too. That's why we've compiled relative statistics regarding submissions in actually used languages on the DMOJ.

Update: The latest statistics are available at https://dmoj.ca/stats/language/

CCC 2015 Scores

posted on Feb. 19, 2015, 11:58 p.m. 6

Are you interested in how other people did on the CCC, and are curious about your chances of making it into the CCO? Here's an unofficial poll where you can enter your score and check out others' scores. There's no penalty or anything if you lie, but there's really no point in doing so either, as the poll is anonymous.

"It would be really easy to put fake votes and make everyone panic but we're trusting people not to do that. Only vote if you wrote the Senior!"

Next Generation PDF Generation

posted on Feb. 17, 2015, 4:34 a.m. 1

The PDF generation feature for the DMOJ has been updated to use wkhtmltopdf through a virtual X buffer.

Try it out! https://dmoj.ca/problem/ioi13p4/pdf

Formatting for complex problems should be flawless now.

posted on Feb. 17, 2015, 2:45 a.m. 6

We've added an API for accessing most public data used by the DMOJ.

You can read the documentation here.

Anything you'd like added to the API, or think we've missed? Please let us know in the comments!

JavaScript Support

posted on Feb. 16, 2015, 1:30 a.m. 0

The DMOJ is proud to announce the support for a new V8 executor. quantum has worked hard in creating a V8 shell with the ability to perform I/O, and writing an executor to make use of it. Now it is possible to submit to most problems in JavaScript, and our editor has also been updated to include the ability report JavaScript errors. Enjoy.
