Hello, I am Spivak. I like gelatin-free Jello, and for all such items I have encountered, I have eaten them. I personally dislike mathematically hand-wavy subjects like economics and English, but Mandarin is a sufficiently rigorous language for me to consider it worthwhile to learn. Cantonese, on the other hand, lacks the appropriate rigor to satisfy my mathematical needs.

As a man with urges, I sometimes browse mathematics online when I am alone. Abelian groups, for example, are objects I desire to see in their full naked form. Their tables excite me and I find great pleasure in seeing how their binary operations commute. However, the area in which I take most pleasure in is complex analysis. As I am not a real mathematician, complex analysis is the area in which I spend most of my waking hours. When I see a holomorphic function being differentiated, it makes me ejaculate an entire proof of the fundamental theorem of calculus every time. The residues I work with are a large part of who I am as a person.
