The distance formula for two points $A$ $A$ and $B$ $B$ is $\sqrt{(A_x-B_x)^2 + (A_y-B_y)^2}$ $\sqrt{(A_{x} - B_{x})^{2} + (A_{y} - B_{y})^{2}}$ . Squaring this, we obtain $(A_x-B_x)^2 + (A_y-B_y)^2$ $(A_{x} - B_{x})^{2} + (A_{y} - B_{y})^{2}$ . Thus the answer is the minimum value of this across all possible pairings of Alice, Bob, and Charlie.
